5 out of 5 stars Great Book   August 31, 2010

This is probably the most informative book I have ever read. It surely has valuable lessons for American Law Enforcement and anti-terrorist units to pay attention to.
For the average person it should be a wakeup call. Keep up the good work. I look forward to reading more from John Giduck.

this book is written for and by zionist supporters who dont want the reality of russian crimes exposed. the children were killed as in all bungled hostage rescues. it was the same as the moscow theatre where the brutal russians released poison gas to kill everyone and send a message that they dont care about human life as they have amply demonstrated in chechnya, and other kavkaz nations. talk to any russian neightbor and they have all suffered. poor chechnya suffers but they will fight back and yes their sufi ideology will help them fight back.. same with iraq and aghanistan. these people are no tibetians or native americans. they will fight back and have every right and it is every humans right to resist and defeat all occupying forces. freedom for everyone on this planet. viva Resistance! imperial zio-con American dreams as well as greater russian dreams will be destroyed

4 out of 5 stars Book Review   April 28, 2010

The purchase process worked very well and the book arrived in excellent condition. The only glitch was the fact that the book did not arrive for an extended period and when investigated I found that the seller had registered it with the postal service but never delivered it to them. Attempts to contact the seller were difficult at best and he never personally responded to my queries but then the book arrived.

5 out of 5 stars Required Reading   March 16, 2010

Every parent, police officer and school employee in the USA should read this book. The first part covers the history of the Beslan region, the people living there, and the spetznaz units who bravely sacrificed themselves attempting to rescue the fleeing hostages at the school. Then comes a description of what would have been the most successful hostage rescue in history, the Nord Ost Theater, if ambulances and hospitals had been briefed to expect casualties suffering the effects of the gas deployed and staged for quick transport.
Next is an overview of Beslan as a dress rehearsal for attack on American schools, as promised by Bin laden and other key people who trained and led the terrorists at Beslan. The book concludes with an overview of the history of islam, starting with what is known about Muhammed's life, and it's 1400 year war with the infidel, challenging the notion of Islam as a religion of peace and that all religions point to the same god. A difficult, but enlightening read.

5 out of 5 stars To Be Prepared   March 11, 2010

The author John Giduck holds more than one advanced degrees; one of which is a Masters in International Affairs with a specialization in Russian Affairs. He has traveled extensively throughout Russia and he has over 10 years of training experience with Russian Military's elite Special Forces. He has trained all levels of American Law Enforcement units and has served as a consultant for Foreign affairs, terrorism and organized crime. He is currently working with the Archangel Group, an agency which provides consulting and training to U.S. Law Enforcement, Military and other Government branches on these topics.

Terror at Beslan is an accounting of the horrific terrorist siege in the small town of Beslan within the country of Russia in 2004. 338 people were gunned down, 192 of which were small children. It is clear that Mr. Giduck believes that this siege should be analyzed in detail as it is, without a doubt, a future America will have to face. Terrorism has already reached American soil in epic proportions and with 9-11 only one moment in thousands of years of Islamic Extremism and violence, the terrorists are far from finished.

Mr. Giduck does not mince words, terrorists are described for what they are, terrorists. They are not freedom fighters or insurgents. A terrorist is someone who has been bred from birth to kill and they revel and celebrate in human suffering. "If you are not one of them, you are nothing but an infidel to be exploited until at such time it becomes expedient for you to die." It is important that the reader understands this in order to reap the benefits this work can provide.

While certainly most valuable from law enforcement and homeland security standpoint, this book is not beyond the scope of a typical American. Mr. Giduck actually has much praise to offer America's Soccer Mom as an important branch of security for our nation's most precious commodity: our children. Vigilance, documentation and reporting so common in the Soccer Mom culture, may well have prevented the siege at Beslan. Events of that size do not just happen; it takes months of suspicious surveillance. The key that Mr. Giduck stresses is to be prepared and not to be lulled into passivity that something so awful could not happen here on American soil, for we know that it already has.
