5 out of 5 stars *sigh*   September 2, 2010
eleanor
why do you people think it a good idea to "reveal" the most important part of the mystery of this book in your review? Very annoying. Maybe you can reveal the plot of the new George Clooney movie as well? GEEEEZ...

1 out of 5 stars A few questions for the author and his mindless minions   July 19, 2010
S. V. Anderson (Idaho)
5 out of 22 found this review helpful

I hate to be the one to spoil the party but I have a few questions if in fact there was a grassy knoll shooter--as this book postulates:

1. Why were ALL bullet fragments found IN FRONT of the President and Governor and NOT ONE METALLIC piece of evidence was found to the left rear of the limousine (which is exactly where one would expect to find metallic fragments if the shot originated from the right front--from the grassy knoll area)?
2. Why did the autopsy photographs reveal NO DAMAGE to the left rear of the President's head (which is EXACTLY where one would expect to see damage as the bullet(s) entered the right-front and exited the left-rear.)
3. Why did the autopsy x-rays reveal NO DAMAGE at all to the left hemisphere of the president's brain? Are we really expected to believe that a high-powered missile entered the president's head from the right front but somehow lacked the velocity to continue on to the left half of the president's brain less then four inches away from the point of origin? Now THAT is a magic bullet!!!
4. Why does the Zapruder film not agree with the scenerio of a rear-exit wound? Please keep in mind that the Zapruder film only reveals damage to the right side of the president's head (which agrees 100% with the autopsy photographs and x-rays) and it reveals NO DAMAGE to the left-rear of the president's head. How can this be so if there was a grassy knoll shooter?
5. Why do ALL fragments match the rifle used by Lee Harvey Oswald who was above and BEHIND the president at the time of the assassination? There are NO FRAGMENTS and NO BULLETS that can be traced to any other rifle. I think this author needs to explain what happened to HIS alleged bullet(s). He conveniently fails to address this minor inconvenience.
6. Why didn't any credible witnesses see a gunman fleeing the area behind the grassy knoll or the stockade fence? Lee Bowers, who was BEHIND the stockade fence testified under oath that he didn't see ANYTHING unusual back there at the time of the assassination. And the only witnesses that DID claim to see a gunman there only "saw" their assassin years later when they had been paid to offer friendly "recollections" to conspiracy authors. NONE of these witnesses claimed to see a grassy knoll gunman on the day of the assassination--not one.
7. Why did 98% of ALL earwitnesses to the assassination state that ALL shots came from one and ONLY one source and NOT from two different sources? This author claims that some shots came from behind and at least one shot originated from the right front, but out of 200 witnesses that claimed they knew the origin of the shots, only 4 said that shots came from two different locations. Only four out of two hundred agrees with this author's theory. Are those impressive odds? If YOU had a revolver with space for 200 bullets in its cylinder and only four of those spaces were empty(meaning the revolver contained 196 bullets) would YOU be willing to spin the cylinder, point the barrel at the temple of one of your children and pull the trigger knowing there was a 98% chance that there would be a bullet in the chamber when the trigger was pulled? Yet this author has NO problem accepting those very long odds on which to base his theory of a grassy knoll gunman.
8. And lastly, why was there NO EVIDENCE of this (these) shooters left behind? Why no cartridges, no footprints, no photographic evidence, no eyewitnesses saw them either shoot or leave the scene? How can this be so? Please keep in mind that the other location from which we KNOW shots were fired, the south east corner window of the TSBD was littered with evidence. There were palm prints, fingerprints, three used bullet casings, a paper bag with finger and palm prints, and eyewitnesses that placed a gunman there. Yet at the alleged grassy knoll/stockade fence location magically ALL evidence has disappeared in only moments. Not most, not some, but ALL evidence is somehow obliterated from the face of the earth. How so?

Of course I hate to be the one to pull back the curtain and reveal that the Great and Powerful Oz is nothing more than a fake, but someone that actually KNOWS the evidence has to do it or else these charlatans and pseudo-historians can make their silly and unfounded claimes unchallenged.

5 out of 5 stars If you are not quite sure you believe there was a conspiracy and have an open mind, this is for you   June 11, 2010

This book is so well written and weaves the assassination story in with all of the political turmoil that JFK was going though perfectly. I would recommend this one to anyone who is on the fence about a conspiracy or even a Warren Commission believer. It is written in a way that does not come off over the top kooky like many of these books do. Everything is presented in a logical manner and you don't get the feeling that the author is reaching to make something there that isn't. I don't think it will turn off open minded people who still think Oswald was guilty. The ratings speak for themselves here on this one. Even without the conspiracy part, the little known but well documented cold war history presented here is worth the read alone.

If I could just get my Dad to read it.....

5 out of 5 stars Best book on JFK research on the assassination   May 30, 2010

Take a look at this book. You will be blown away by the research done into this. There will be little question in your mind as to who was behind this disgraceful moment in American History. One of the best books I have ever read and I wholeheartedly recommend you to read it and consider it as a gift to those who are interested in this subject.
OUTSTANDING!

5 out of 5 stars A rare masterpiece reveals the truth   May 28, 2010

I am an attorney at law and I believe in facts and evidence.

I have read many brillant books on the JFK" assassination; but
now, there comes the one that puts all pieces and loose ends finally
together and combines it with the recently disclosed government files.

This marvellous author, Professor of theology, James W. Douglass, puts the obvious facts, the
overwhelming evidence, masterfully and meticulously together. The
evidence presented, which coincides with so many other researcher's
evidence and witness reports, carefully combines it, so that now, for
the first time, we can finally see the clear and ugly picture
appearing in the puzzle:
>
Oswald was in fact innocent, the CIA killed the President of the
United States of America. The next President, Lyndon B. Johnson,
together with the FBI's powerful Edgar E. Hoover, and the CIA, the
murder agency itself, covered it up, out of own interest. Evicence was
falsified, witnesses and co-conspirators killed, commission members
and witnesses threatened to silence.

>
This book is a rare and brilliant masterpiece.

Thank you James W. Douglas.
>
The case « JFK « is closed but the long path for the American people
to learn and finally accept the atrocious truth about this crime of
the century has just begun.

James W. Douglass is a couragous man because he will go through hell; they will try to destroy his character, his reputation, as they did in the recent years with so many critics of the official Government version of the JFK assassination.

Witnesses were silenced, killed, commission members were threatened, evidence destroyed and falsified. James W. Douglass is a real brave citizen, accurate in his analysis and incorruptable. We, who read his masterpiece, now know the truth.
